Work Desk

I'm sorry I haven't been blogging that much. I realized I haven't blogged as often this October. Been busy with work and not so much happening in my personal life either. A friend mentioned that PGMA has declared another series of holidays by the end of November and as always we don't benefit from that. Sigh! I wish there's a holiday every month. Or wouldn't it be nice if we only go to work four times a week? Yeah, yeah I'm one of those people who don't really love their work but they stick to it because that's the best thing they can do. I'm kind of like Chandler in Friends. Remember that episode when he quit his job as statistical analysis and data reconfiguration and then he found out after consulting with a career expert that's that what he does best? Although of course later on he was finally able to get a job he really loves – advertising. So anyway, what was I blabbing about… yeah my work! Well, what can you do if something isn't really something? You try to make the most out of it. And here at work like most office people, I spend 95% of my time here at my desk. I try to make it as personal as possible but still with a level of professionalism in case the boss decides to visit my cube. Here it is.

I actually took this photos for Riz's giveaway thingy but wasn't able to blog about it soon. And sorry for the rant accompanying this photo…I just really really need a break. Really.

Just Had to Let This Out

I officially hate you. I thought we were going along well. But it wasn't meant to be. Maybe deep down inside you like me because why would you say such things about my husband? You don't even know him. You are not even as half as good looking as him. You are not good looking. Aside from that I even thought you were gay when we first met. I don't know what your wife saw in you. Basta! I hate you for saying those things. Who are you to judge our marriage!!?!?!?!?! And working in a call center doesn't mean being promiscous. Plus I don't believe you when you said you were promiscuous. Maybe you paid those girls. Yuck! I wanted to wrangle your neck when you said those things. Binabalaan mo pa ko ha! Kapal ng mukha mo! My husband isn't like that.

Say My Name, Say My Name

I’m getting frustrated with this whole changing of my maiden name to married name thing. First here at the office, my name’s already changed in the online directory but the IT department hasn’t changed my email address yet and my name in the Lotus Notes address book. Hence, people can not find me on Lotus Notes if they use my new surname. Plus I haven’t received my new ID yet. So I don’t have any ID’s with my married name on it. I don’t really plan on changing my driver’s license and passport yet. I’ve just renewed my passport and I don’t want to go to DFA again to have it changed. My driver’s license won’t expire until 2011. I’m planning on having my name changed on both IDs by the time they are about to expire. But now I think I have to have it changed because I went to my bank earlier and they told me that I need to present 2 ID’s showing my married name to have my account name changed from maiden to married. And I only have one – my company ID – which technically I don’t really have because they haven’t issued it to me yet. Are you still with me after all this blabbering? Argh! So what I can do as of the moment is just change my account from single account to joint account but retain my maiden name.

Breathe In, Breathe Out

I'm stressing out right now because Joema wants to move in ASAP to the condo because of his fucking schedule. Argh! And we can't just transfer because we have to settle some dues for Meralco and the water meter, etc. Plus we haven't installed lighting fixtures yet. We have to issue post-dated checks for the monthly dues and I've just ordered a fresh checkbook because the one I have now has only 8 leaves so that's not enough, obviously!

I hate it when things happen that are unexpected and I hate it when I expect things to happen but they don't!!!!

To keep my mind at ease (for a few seconds), let me list down the things (more things!) we need to accomplish for the church requirements.

Marriage License
a. certificate of no marriage (b&g)
b. birth certificate (b&g)
c. DSWD family planning seminar certificate
d. 1 x 1 pic (b & g)

We only need to go to city hall to attend the seminar and file for the license. If only Joema's day off will fall on either a Tuesday or a Thursday (that's when the family planning seminar is held)

Pre-Cana Seminar
a. Christian doctrine seminar - every Saturday (8am-12nn)
b. Parenthood seminar - every 4th Saturday of the month (8:30am - 12nn)

We have to attend the seminars at EDSA Shrine. If only I could foresee Joema's schedule.

Do they really have to give out schedules the day before the new schedule for the week starts?!?!?! Don't they know they're people have fucking social lives!?!?!?!

Sorry for the foul language but not sorry enought to not say those things hehe.

Road Block

This is the first road block I've encountered in our wedding preparations. Shit shit shit! I called up my mananahi to make an appointment because another friend of mine is getting married and I refered my mananahi to her. My mananahi told me that she's leaving for the States, she already has her visa and ticket! She said she was supposed to tell my officemate, who referred her to me, tomorrow about her plans so that I can be informed. I guess I was a day early. :( So there I don't have a mananahi with less than 5 months to go before the wedding. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!!

Doctor Doctor I am Sick

I just got back from the doctor for the interpretation of the bloodwork, urinalysis and x-rays done for my annual physical exam administered here at the office. She said I had high triglyceride. But this is the same result from my APE last year and based on my record I was told to get another blood test after two months but I did not return. (Read: Kasalanan ko na hindi ako bumalik) I told her nobody called me to remind me. Sabi nya hindi na daw ako kailangan tawagan para bumalik dapat daw ako ang bumalik. Anyways, I then remembered that I DID return for another blood test and I told her the results was sent to my office but of course, I can not interpret it on my own. Then she proceeded by telling me that this time I should return after a month but I have to follow a strict diet - no meat, only fish and vegetables (if I want meat chicken breast without the skin), no oily and fatty foods. She explained that if after a month and the results are the same then I would have to take medicines - for life! Argh!

Now, I'm upset. I don't know if I'm upset because of what she said (i-threaten ka ba naman na pwede ka ma-stroke bigla at such a young age noh!) or because of my argument with her. Kasi naman in the middle of her explanation sabi ko "Ay hindi ako papayag! Basta bumalik ako for blood test!" Ahahahaha. Bad trip! Hay naku!

Bahkeeettt?!?!?!?!

Bakit ba ang pangit ng araw ko ngayon?

First, it started with a really bad dream. In my dream, Joema proposed marriage to some girl…in front of me! As in! In my face! I woke up feeling really bad tuloy.

Then this really stupid girl from the other department can’t make a judgement call. Argh! Haller! I gave you the permission to directly contact Mr. X tapos sasabihan mo ko that you’re not allowed! Tapos later on you’ll inform me that what you were asking for in the first place from Mr. X is not actually needed for him to get paid! Pakshet ka!!

And then, I called up the agent for the Sunrise Hotel because I haven’t got hold of the vouchers until today. Bwisit! Ang tagal na kaya non chinacharge na ko ng credit card hindi ko pa rin nakukuha. This is how our conversation went:

Me: blah, blah, blah
Agent: Ma’m I’ll call you back in a few seconds
Me: Is this recorded?
Agent: Hindi po
Me: Hindi, gusto ko nga recorded ‘to para on record na nagcommit kayo na dadating yung voucher by Wednesday this week. Put me on hold.
Agent: Ma’am wala pong hold ‘to (Argh! What kind of a call center is that walang hold feature ang phone!)
Me: No! I’ll wait!

Grrr!!! And it’s not even lunch time yet! Half of the day isn’t over yet and I have three strikes already. Lord, let there be no more.

Customer is Always Right

I'm so pissed off with this agent I sent an email to the developer of the property she was selling to tell them of her unprofessionalism. Tomorrow I will fax my letter to their home office to make sure that they get it! Here's my email to them:

I saw an ad of your project Spazio Bernardo at this link:

http://bahay.ph/ads/15421/

I inquired about the property (on 12 Dec 2006) and Ms. Marivick Barbo sent me an email with the payment terms for the condo unit (on 13 Dec 2006). I made an appointment with her via text message on 28 Dec 2006, 2pm at SM North Edsa as I was eager to see the site and the model unit. She agreed on the date and time I set. The day before the appointment I was a bit anxious as she has not confirmed with me if we are pushing through with the meeting. But since she agreed, based on her earlier text message to me, I assumed that the meeting will push through. On the day of our appointment before 1pm, I sent her a text message asking her if we could move the time to 3pm instead because my boyfriend who was accompanying me was running late. She said it was okay but the meeting place she indicated in her reply was at 'Bluewave, Marquinton'. It turned out she set up another appointment on the same date and time that we agreed on. I wanted to cancel the meeting because of her unprofessionalism but she insisted that Ms. Lorie, the secretary in their office, will assist me. She also offered to meet me at 5pm instead. But since I had a previous engagement at 5pm the same day I agreed to meet Ms. Lorie which turned out to be alright because she was able to answer all my questions and she showed me the model unit and some of the condo units that were being renovated to show me a better view of what the unit will look like.

Ms. Marivick followed up on me asking how I found the property so I told her I will contact her for feedback. I sent her an email (on 4 jan 200) with some questions I have regarding the property and again set up a meeting for tomorrow, 11 Jan 2007, at 5pm at SM Megamall. On the same date, she confirmed our appointment via email and text. Again today, one day before our set appointment, I did not receive any confirmation from her. So I sent her a text message asking her if we are still okay to meet for tomorrow. She replied asking me what time we'll meet. I can't believe this agent of yours! She doesn't keep track of her appointments with her clients. Maybe you should give them diaries/planners as Christmas gifts! I accepted her apology the first time she forgot about our appointment, but the second time is unforgiveable.

She told me that your condo units are selling like hot cakes. I'm sure that's true with your very affordable price and the very nice environemtn of your project, but that doesn't mean that she will not take time to service all of her clients. She could have told me to set another time and date if she already has a previous appointment. As a working individual myself, time and money is of value to me. If your agent does not think that I am worth her time and attention then that is okay. I am letting you know how this agent has treated me so that you can teach them on how to handle your clients. The truth is, I was already keen on getting a unit but because of this I am extremely turned off with the service of your agent, I would rather get a condo unit from a not-so-famous developer than get one from you because I was not treated as a valued customer. Just so you know, customer service is still the most important factor in running a business.

Thank you for your time.
