Where to Stay in Hong Kong: Le Prabelle

Stayed at this hotel in our recent trip to Hong Kong with the whole family. And I fell in love with this hotel. The room was big and big windows unlike other HK hotels. Our toiletries and complimentary water were replenished everyday. We were very near the Prince Edward MTR station, there's a 7-11 downstairs and a Watsons around the corner. You can choose from a line of restaurants just across the other streeet. Super duper convenient for our big group. I booked our room via Agoda. Our room had two king sized beds and we paid for an extra bed for my brother. The room has 1.5 baths - one full bath and a powder room with a toilet which worked well with us.

Sorry all my photos have my family lying or lounging in the room because we were all tired from the transfer of trains from airport to hotel haha!

At the other side of the room is another king sized bed. There's also a TV but the kids were complaining that they can't watch anything hahaha! But that's okay since we didn't really have time to watch anything.

The shower area - I love that the water gets hot immediately. My little boy doesn't like taking a bath with cold water so I really appreciated the warm water immediately dispensed plus the shower head spews small and gentle water stream. My little boy enjoyed taking a bath here hehe.

Where to Stay in Bonifacio Global City: F1 Hotel Manila

As mentioned in my previous post, we stayed at F1 Hotel last September for my mother's 60th birthday. I booked us two connecting rooms via Agoda. I booked 1 deluxe room with two beds and 1 deluxe room with 1 king size bed. Although when we got there the room with the supposed king sized bed also had two beds so I asked housekeeping to put the two beds together. When we checked in, one of the rooms was not yet ready so we stayed at the room where my parents and brother stayed.

This shot was taken from the connecting door of the two rooms. See we had two beds instead of one king sized bed. The doors beside the TV are the closet doors.

I think that couch is a pull-out bed. There's the coffee service table which I'm not sure was available at my parents' room (after looking at my photos).

Toilet and sink

The shower area. Their bathroom is pretty small for hotel standards but we're okay with it because we're small people. But I would think some foreigners will find this tad too small for their built. 

Each room included buffet breakfast for two so we paid extra for my brother. Aside from the kiddie pool, they also have two other pools which I wasn't able to take a photo of.

I would recommend staying at this hotel if you want a staycation in BGC. If you're not a usual at the area like us, you'll find plenty of things to do and places to visit while checked in at F1 Hotel.

Where to Stay in Tagaytay: Crosswinds Resorts Tagaytay

We got the 1-bedroom suite at Crosswinds Resorts for my father's birthday. I got a voucher from Deal Grocer which included breakfast for two but allowed us to have 5 adults and 1 kid in the suite. I paid for extra bed for the 5th adult, my brother. The layout of the suite is your typical 1-bedroom condo.

Here's the dining and living room. The extra bed was placed in between the sofa (which turns to a bed) and the dining table. The door you see after the living room is the door to the bedroom. To the left of the dining table is the kitchen, to the right is the veranda. 

Here's the kitchen which is to the left of the dining table (if you're facing the living room). Crosswinds had 0% corkage fee so we were able to fully utilize this kitchen without cost. We brought in food for cooking as well as cooked food for our merienda, dinner and breakfast.

You need to have your own vehicle when you book here as the property is quite big. The drive from the hotel to the pool area is around 5mins which I'm not sure if you're willing to walk to instead of drive because the roads are quite steep. The resort is also far from the dining options in Tagaytay so it was a plus that they allow guests to cook in the suite as you don't have to go outside for dinner and just stay in your suite.

Overall, I would like to book at this resort again. Once you're inside, you can just spend the whole time there by going to the pool and the playground - very kid and family friendly.

Where to Stay in Siquijor: Coco Grove Beach Resort

Our home for 4 nights in Siquijor. We stayed at the one of the Tree Top rooms. Here are my photos (taken by our Canon G12 camera).

Well hello there!

At one corner of the balcony is another seating area. 

The closet. As I've mentioned before my husband loves to unpack our things so that task is delegated to him when we're on vacation.

Here's the bathroom. The shower is separate from the toilet. The shower is on the right with the curtain while the bathroom is inside those doors.

I think they also provided toothbrush and toothpaste. Bottomline is you need to bring your own toiletries. 

Tree top room is considered as an executive room with rate of P4,100 per night. I reserved the room via email and we had to pay 50% down payment through their UCPB bank account. The room rate included breakfast for two people. They charged us P800 for the round trip transfers to and fro the port. We also asked them to book our round trip ferry tickets Dumaguete-Siquijor and they charged us P530 per person (Miya was free of charge).

As evidenced by my entries, we enjoyed our stay in Coco Grove. We'll definitely stay here again if we go back to Siquijor. Maybe next time with the grannies.

Where to Stay in Dumaguete: Hotel Essencia

When we went to Dumaguete last January, we stayed at Hotel Essencia. We availed of their Standard Economy room with king-sized bed. Reservations were made via email, without any advance payment. The room rate didn't include breakfast but the airport pick-up was free. Here are photos of the room (photos taken from my iPhone 5).

No windows on the wall by the bed. At the foot of the bed is a seating area and the TV.

The room had a window but it opens up to a light well. I was actually freaked out by that window. We didn't open those curtains.

You can see the bathroom from this side of the bed. It has a see through glass panel but there's a blind that you can pull down if you're shy. I think, this is perfect for honeymooners hehe.

At one part of the room is the coffee station and a small refrigerator. 

The bathroom. It's pretty weird that that toilet bowl is not pushed against the wall. As in there's a gap between the toilet and the wall which was a bit weird to me. 

The lavatory and the counter. It's a pretty big counter but since the toilet is there right beside it, you can't really use that big space on the counter as you will be standing pretty tight next to the toilet.

Shower area. See there's a blind that you can pull down to hide the bathroom from the bedroom.

The closet with a few hangers. Hangers are important to my husband as he likes to unpack his clothes and hang them up on the closet. 

For P1,200 we paid for the room, I think that's pretty right. We only stayed one night in this hotel and it pretty much gave us what we needed, a clean bed we can sleep in for the night. Their staff was very accommodating as I had to ask them a favor regarding our ferry tickets to Siquijor. It's okay that the room rate didn't have breakfast included as you can avail of that separately in their restaurant. If I remember it right, it was less than P150 per person for the set breakfast. If ever I go back to Dumaguete, I will definitely not think twice about staying in this hotel again.
