Ferrari's First Points

Finally, after four races Ferrari garnered three points via Kimi Raikkonen's 6th place in the Bahrain Grand Prix. Too bad, Massa still has no points. Joema's a bit bummed about this, even telling na may balat ako sa pwet because ever since I started watching Massa has been having trouble in the race track. It's either he didn't qualify for Q2 or his car stopped in the middle of the race. Well, Joema can't really blame me for this haha although he had high hopes for the last race because Massa won the Bahrain Grand Prix in 2007 and 2008. Well, too bad for Massa but yey for the top three finishers - Button, Vettel and Trulli.

Okay, there are 20 drivers who are competing (10 teams) but only the top 8 finishers of every race get points. The first one gets 10 points, the second gets 8 points, the third finisher gets 6 points (only the first three gets to go to the podium to receive their award hehe) and then one point less for the succeeding drivers. Anyway, here are the points of the top 6 drivers after the four races:

Jenson Button - Brawn Mercedes - 31 points
Rubens Barrichello - Brawn Mercedes - 19 points
Sebastian Vettel - RBR Renault - 18 points
Jarno Trulli - Toyota - 14.5 points
Timo Glock - Toyota - 12 points
Mark Webber - RBR Renault - 9.5 points

For the complete list go here.

The Bahrain Grand Prix was rather uneventful unlike the first three races, it wasn't raining and there weren't any significant accidents hehe I'm sorry if it seems I was waiting for accidents to happen but it just makes the race more exciting. Some experts say that Bahrain might be the last race where Button will finish first because come Spain Grand Prix all the teams will have that controversial double diffuser. We'll see, we'll see.
