Ferrari's First Points

Finally, after four races Ferrari garnered three points via Kimi Raikkonen's 6th place in the Bahrain Grand Prix. Too bad, Massa still has no points. Joema's a bit bummed about this, even telling na may balat ako sa pwet because ever since I started watching Massa has been having trouble in the race track. It's either he didn't qualify for Q2 or his car stopped in the middle of the race. Well, Joema can't really blame me for this haha although he had high hopes for the last race because Massa won the Bahrain Grand Prix in 2007 and 2008. Well, too bad for Massa but yey for the top three finishers - Button, Vettel and Trulli.

Okay, there are 20 drivers who are competing (10 teams) but only the top 8 finishers of every race get points. The first one gets 10 points, the second gets 8 points, the third finisher gets 6 points (only the first three gets to go to the podium to receive their award hehe) and then one point less for the succeeding drivers. Anyway, here are the points of the top 6 drivers after the four races:

Jenson Button - Brawn Mercedes - 31 points
Rubens Barrichello - Brawn Mercedes - 19 points
Sebastian Vettel - RBR Renault - 18 points
Jarno Trulli - Toyota - 14.5 points
Timo Glock - Toyota - 12 points
Mark Webber - RBR Renault - 9.5 points

For the complete list go here.

The Bahrain Grand Prix was rather uneventful unlike the first three races, it wasn't raining and there weren't any significant accidents hehe I'm sorry if it seems I was waiting for accidents to happen but it just makes the race more exciting. Some experts say that Bahrain might be the last race where Button will finish first because come Spain Grand Prix all the teams will have that controversial double diffuser. We'll see, we'll see.

Update on WTSYA*

I'm finally down to the last 4 episodes of the *Wish To See You Again.

It got more kilig when Xu Le and Nancy went to Alishan. I have to say, this drama series is like a big tourism advertisement of Taiwan. They featured so many sites like the National Palace, then they went to Alishan and then to Kaohsiung, they also featured Taipei 101. Anyway, back to Xu Le and Nancy. Things got to be a little more kilig for me when Vanness' character Leo came in. His character is a fun, laidback guy who likes to joke around which is actually his defense mechanism. Finally, Xu Le admits he likes Nancy because he got jealous of Leo who was a highschool mate of Nancy.

I'm itching to see the end because of the storyline of Ken's character Ah Hao, Xiao ma and Lu Yi. It was supposed to be their love triangle but Xu Le sort of smelled that something was going on between Ah Hao and Lu Yi so he had to ask for the sake of Xiao ma. Xu Le and Lu Yi "were caught" by Nancy and Xiao Ma in separate occasions…not really doing the did but enough to suspect that something's going on between the two of them. What I don't get is why Xu Le can't tell nancy the truth. I know he promised Lu Yi and Ah Hao not to tell anyone but hello your gf is suspecting you of two-timing and you still won't defend yourself and just tell her to trust you. If it were me I wouldn't have trusted him haha. Although I must say that my heart would have also melted when I see my boyfriend standing in the rain and suddenly collapsing. If it were the other way around, can't Xu le trust her to keep the secret? So now I'm waiting if Xiao Ma finds out the truth – that Ah Hao is the one Lu Yi loves and not Xu Le, he's been the scapegoat in all of this.

Can't wait to go home later and watch the rest of the episodes. I might have to re-watch the whole thing because a lot of the time when ZZ is not in the scenes I would just fast forward to his next scene haha. But last night during the kilig scenes I kept on rewinding the scene and then watching everything in slow motion. What can I do..I'm in love with him ahahahaha. My husband will kill me if he reads this. But he knows I'm crazy like this.

Let me leave you with photos of my favorite scenes.

Aaaawww kawawa naman.

Yihhii kinilig sa lunch box

Yakapin ka ba naman ng ganito sa gitna ng ulan? Dika ba matutunaw?

I love the scenes with Xu Le eating with Nancy's family. Nancy's papa: Xu Le, what are your thoughts about premarital sex? Xu Le: ???

Haaay sarap matulog

Aaaahhhh!!!

In The Cube

Saw this awesome apartment in Apartment Therapy where the bedroom is in a suspended cube. The unit is basically a bi-level studio with a twist. The design is by Emmanuel Combarel Dominique Marrec.

Here's a view of the floor plan from the top.

AI too long?

I thought last week's American Idol was not fair. It wasn't fair that only two judges were able to speak after each contestant's performance. It's really puzzling why the producers can't keep the show under an hour and had to do that. Joema and I thought that they probably should let the judges have timed comments, like they should cut through Paula's comments if she's just rambling on hehe. But this article has way more funny ideas on how to cut the time of AI. I'm reposting the whole article here.

After weeks of "American Idol" running long and wrecking havoc with our DVRs and TiVos, we've come up with a plan to condense the entire show down -- way down. We're talking 15-minute performance nights and five-minute results nights. And if we can do it, there's no reason Fox can't, too.

Performance Nights:

Minute 1: Obligatory introductions of judges and Seacrest so they can show off their outfits and smile.

Minute 2: The mentor of the week gives one big gushing speech about how everyone was wonderful. No footage of them standing lamely by a piano, or a history of their accomplishments gets shown.

Minutes 3 & 4: Adam Lambert blows away all convention again with whatever this week's theme is.

Minute 5: Simon's comments. None of the other judges get to talk; they just have to nod or shoot angry looks at Simon for calling it either wonderful or too theatrical.

Minutes 6 & 7: Danny Gokey does his predictable Danny Gokey thing.

Minute 8: Simon says it was a bit boring, but that he understands why America loves Danny. Audience booing.

Minutes 9-12: Highlights from the rehearsal footage of the other remaining contestants. It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that Gokey and Lambert will be the finalists, so why even pretend anymore? Just do a snippets reel and the audience can vote on who the worst person of the night was.

Minute 13: The non-Gokey/Lambert contestants stand on stage while Simon gives his thoughts on who sounded the most cabaret or karaoke and who was surprisingly passable.

Minute 14: Ryan gives out all of the dial-in numbers. Cautions that these are 866 numbers and that standard text messaging rates apply.

Minute 15: Seacrest wishes everyone a good night. Kara says "artistry," Randy says "dawg" and Paula babbles randomly, but her speech gets cut off by the start of the next show on Fox.

Results Nights:

Minute 1: Introductions of Seacrest and the judges, so Ryan can make some snarky comment about Simon and the audience applause gives him his weekly dose of validation for having an opinion.

Minute 2: Seacrest calls all the contestants who aren't Gokey and Lambert down to the center stage and they look sad/surprised.

Minute 3: Ryan asks Simon who should go home. Simon tosses out the name of his chosen punching bag of the week. Audience booing ensues.

Minute 4: Ryan sends most of the remaining contestants back to the couch, then tells the bottom two who America hated the most.

Minute 5: The eliminee gets to sing their song, until it is cut off by a Ford commercial.

I'm not much of a fan of Danny because like the article says I think he can only do one thing. My bet for the top two would be: Adam and Cris. Although I think Allison is also deserving to be in the final two. I'm not sure I understand why the judges saved Matt. Simon even said that Matt doesn't have the chance of winning the contest – then why oh why did they save him? What if Allison is in the bottom this week, then they wouldn't be able to save her…and she's way better than Matt.

Wish to See You Again

I'm so sleepy now. The culprit is one of the series we bought in our suking dibidi store. Remember this?

It's from ZZ's drama Wish to See You Again which kept me up late last night.

I've only watched the first four episodes. As usual ZZ's character is that of an "autistic" ahahaha. He plays the role of Xu Le who is a bestselling author who is experiencing writer's block. He cannot find his inspiration so he decided to be a taxi driver where he meets different kinds of people and eventually meet his long lost friend Ah Hao. The girl in the series reminds me so much of Da S. Her character and Sanchai's character in Meteor Garden have their similarities. But of course I find her cuter. LOL forever ng ayoko kay Da S. ;P

I find the series fun and light unlike zz's last drama that I saw. Although there are few and far in between kilig moments, at this moment. There's some cheesy lines since ZZ's character is an author of love stories. But I can let that go since I still love ZZ haha. And I think too much love for the guy friends. I can't think of that happening in real life. I mean guys will be guys. They don't like complications, if you don't like them then the hell with you. But I guess the story of the drama is really about the friendship of the three main guy characters.

I think the title of the series is just right for me...since I haven't watched ZZ in a long time now haha. I-relate ba sa sarili ang mga pangyayari sa buhay ni ZZ.

Credit Card Thief

I'm posting the video of the woman who has stolen Frances' wallet last year, just before Christmas. I hope this woman gets caught soon. Apparently, this is a modus operandi. She gets inside offices and then steals the wallets of the employees just when no one is around.

F1 newbie

My husband is a Formula 1 fanatic. So as the obliging wife, I watch it with him hehe. Not that I'm complaining. I'm starting to learn the ropes of the race unlike with his other interest i.e. soccer - which he can't get me to sit down and watch the whole game (90 minutes of passing the ball around with a meager 1-1 score sometimes..sorry to soccer fans) but that's an entirely different thing. Atleast with F1 I'm starting to get excited watching it, even the qualifying round. Although I have yet to watch an entire race hehe. Joema is rooting for the Ferrari team consisting of Massa. So I guess you would've known by now that after the Chinese Grand Prix I'm cheering for a totally different team and driver. Yes folks I'm now cheering for Sebastian Vettel, he's second win for himself, his second win in the wet, his second win for a maiden team. His first win was for Toro Rosso. Call me cheesy, but I was a bit teary eyed when they got to listen to Red Bull's team radio right after Vettel crossed the finished line. He was saying thank you to everyone, to the mechanics, to the whole team. Such a kind hearted person haha. Joema tells me he is a "kind" driver as he always is the first one to say sorry to other drivers when they hit each other in the track. Much like what happened in the Australian Grand prix when Vettel was vying for third place but ran into Kubica before the last three laps.

Vettel savoring his win in the Chinese Grand Prix

Yes, I'm starting to be fan. I can now understand Joema's excitement when we got to visit the Sepang F1 circuit when we were there last November. Here are some pictures of the circuit and my very happy husband.

Itong si Etong

Have you seen/heard the news about Ted Failon's wife?

This is disturbing. I first read about it this morning from Chuvaness. And then read the updates from Inquirer. There are so many questions to be asked...

Why did the maids clean up the bathroom?

Why so many "po" in the suicide note? Does the wife really talk like that to Ted? It's like I'm hearing my own brother talking pa-cute to his gf.

Why the news blackout? Why were there two reporting of the incident? And different ones at that?

He already tested negative in the paraffin test. But does this mean he's not guilty?

Let's all pray the wife survives and be able to tell the details of her "suicide"? If indeed it is.

*Etong is Ted Failon's real surname.

Eureka!

I found it! it was under my keyboard ahahaha! You know those keyboards where you can elevate part of it so that your wrist won't be strained..I have that. And my skyflakes was just under it. It made my day definitely. I hope this day will give me more "blessings". I can't wait for the Holy Week break to begin.

May you all have a meaningful Holy Week!

Skyflakes

Today, a few hours before lunch time I got hungry so I opened a pack of Skyflakes. But because of the pile of paper on my desk, it got lost. As in I never saw it again. It's already 2:45pm on my watch and I haven't eaten the whole pack yet. So if you see my missing Skyflakes kindly return it to me hehe.

*When I told this to my colleague she joked that I might have included it in my folder for signature of our director. Oh shit! Now I'm afraid I just might have done that.
