Our 7th Anniversary

Joema and I celebrated our 7th year anniversary last 8 November. We went out to watch a movie and had dinner afterwards. We watched Spectre.

Tummy pic before we left the house at 21 weeks and 5 days

At the parking before the movies

There's no other way of watching the cinema after we discovered the Director's Club
Since we now live in the area, we ate at Vieux Chalet. The restaurant was still a bit far from our place and the roads leading to it are dark. I wanted to back out when we got to the dark roads haha.

I told Joema I thought this was the most smooth sailing year of our marriage so far. I think we kind of got the hang of each other and I think the addition of our kids really made our marriage stronger. Plus, I think we both now know that marriage is hard work. You have to be committed to make the marriage work. Praying for my husband also helped a lot. We had so many blessings to be thankful for the past year, so many reasons to celebrate another year ticked off our married life. Here's hoping and praying we stay together till death do us part. No plan B for us, honey!

Happy 4th to Us

I was supposed to blog about our anniversary on our actual anniversary with photos of our wedding but I was to busy to do it. Hence, the belated post but that's okay atleast I have photos (a collage) of what we ate that night hehe.

I'm the only one who ate dessert - Sebastian's cookie dough ice cream...so yummy!
Again, as I've mentioned in my post yesterday I got kilig prepping for this date. Not that I had any other special thing done, I only retouched my office makeup (yep we're both coming from the office because we can't take a leave off work so near our vacation - more on that on my next post!) BUT I wore heels! hahaha! Hubby often tells me he never sees me wear heels. I don't even try to wear heels when we're with Miya. When we're going to work he only sees me in flats because I change to my heels once I'm in the office. So even if we had to walk from my office building to Podium, I wore my heels just to show him heeheehee. I was also wearing a dress that day. Yun nga lang the way he noticed it, he said "Parang ang tangkad mo ngayon!" Ay sus! Lalaki talaga! Men are really from Mars hahaha! Akala ko pa naman mapapansin nya that I'm wearing my heels (and my legs!) the moment I stood up from where I was seating. He noticed it naglalakad na kami to Podium. But that's okay. I guess being married for four years, I have learned to let go of those tiny things. I would have thrown a tantrum at him for not noticing during our single days, but not anymore. In my anniversary card for him, I said "Thank you!" {Well, side story: it's so hard to find a greeting card for anniversaries! Most of the cards are Christmas cards already so I had to make do with a generic card hahaha!} I listed all the things I was grateful to him. Lastly, I thanked him for marrying me four years ago. Happy 4th anniversary, honey!

The Third

For our 3rd anniversary, Joema and I both took a leave from work.We all slept in, woke up around 9:30am when we (Miya and I) usually wake up 7am even during the weekends.

Nothing beats waking up next to your love ones :)

We got ready to head out for lunch and a little bit of grocery shopping.

We had lunch at a Chinese resto

Baby girl got a little bit restless

We got back home to take an afternoon nap. Ah yes, I love it when we get to rest and take it easy. In the evening, it was quality time with the hubby. I still got kilig getting ready for our dinner date.

Ayala Triangle has their Christmas lights up already

Nothing's more romantic to a breastfeeding momma than Kanin Club - give me all that rice!
Happy 3 years to us! :)

Tirso Cruz (The Third not Pip)

Our third wedding anniversary is coming up! We're supposed to celebrate it in Tagaytay and stay at the hotel I got from Ensogo. But unfortunately because of the declared holiday, we won't be able to go. See, we're supposed to go there Nov 7 then check-out nov 8. But since Monday was declared a holiday, we won't be able to book that date (limitation of the voucher). Plus, we were supposed to go to DFA on the morning of 7th for our passport renewals (new one for Miya). So yes, the holiday declaration screwed up our plans! Anyways, let's focus on the good things. Fortunately, I was still able to file for a leave on the 8th. I'm just not sure where we'll go. Okay, it now just occurred to me I can file for OA on Monday and then we can still spend the night somewhere special. Hmm...will have to aks Joema about it.

With that lengthy introduction, I just wanted to share with you some photos of our wedding. These are from the ceremony held at the Archbishop's Palace, Villa San Miguel.

Waiting for me

2 Celebrate

2 years and we're again celebrating. Although we had a different kind of celebration this year - due to my being advised to rest and my hubby's schedule - we stayed home and ushered in the 8th of November watching the Brazilian Grand Prix and had midnight snacks of instant noodles and pineapple tart. I love it!

My husband's been the most wonderful person these past few months - with my being pregnant and all. He's always been my rock. I am so grateful God gave him too. Sometimes I think I don't deserve this kind of love but whenever I feel that I only have to thank God for thinking otherwise. He is the most important person in my life and I love him very much!

Honey, no words can tell you how much I love you so I hope my actions are enough. You are my everything. I love you!

Five Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Six Hundred Minutes

The hubby and I quietly celebrated our first year anniversary last weekend. Sometimes I still can't believe it's over a year now since our wedding (and I'm not yet done documenting our wedding in this blog *teehee*). So what better way to celebrate it than just be together, just us. The initial plan was to go to Baguio but because of the recent typhoon we opted not to push through with this and we both agreed not to travel far to celebrate. So I started scouting for hotels in the metro. First choice was Hotel Celeste in Makati but the price was a little bit steep so I wasn't totally convinced. We agreed that we don't have to spend that much on the hotel so I tried booking a room at Astoria – this is for sentimental reasons since we were checked in at this hotel on our wedding. But their one-bedroom suites were fully booked on our anniversary weekend. Joema suggested Sofitel because he loved our previous stay there – he enjoyed the breakfast buffet so much!

So last Saturday, after going to his check-up we got our bags and trooped on to Sofitel.

The view from our room

Very inviting bed

The idea was just to relax and enjoy the weekend. So after checking in we took our afternoon nap (we're like babies ahahaha) and then around 6pm , we headed down to the pool. Unfortunately, the water was too cold! We didn't stay too long.

When we got back to our room and after showering, we ordered room service.

My Hainan chicken rice and his nasi goreng. Didn't enjoy my food really. I was disappointed.

But the breakfast buffet the following day made up for our dinner.

And just because we're celebrating, we had champagne with breakfast but only a glass each.

After eating we lounged around the pool before heading back to our room.

Funny thing that happened on our anniversary. I told my husband that I will give my present to him on Sunday at home after we returned from the hotel (because I didn't want to bring the gift and let him know about it already - it wasn't gift wrapped but just bagged with the stores paper bag but I didn't tell him that). And I guess he thought to himself that he'll do that, too. While packing on Saturday morning he was looking for his Speedo but couldn't find it. Since we're running a bit late for his check-up, I told him he should take his bath. After he left our room I started looking at his drawers again to look for the Speedo, too bad I saw his gift for me ahahaha! It was covered with a face towel to conceal it, but I've put back the face towel and decided to just tell him about it after he gave me his gift, officially. No, I didn't open the gift, but like me his gift was "wrapped" in the store's paper bag so I kind of had an idea what the gift was. When we got to our hotel room and were lying in bed, he asked me if I saw his gift for him. I couldn't lie to him so I said yes and started laughing. I asked him how he knew, he said it's because the towel wasn't in its proper place when he looked back at his drawer ahahaha!

Hay, time really does seem to fly by if you're having fun. Here's to more years of us being together, more laughter, more travels, more adventures!
