1. Do you have a photo blog? If so, feel free to share the link with us! I have a flicker account. Just click the link at my sidebar.
2. How many pets do you own, and what are their names? If none, have you had a favorite pet in the past? We have 4 dogs at home..Chocolate, Rushie, Rico and Cutie. And my dad has lots of birds and two small turtles.
3. How many times a week does the carpet in your house get vacuumed? No carpet? How many times a MONTH do your floors get mopped? I don't know. I don't know anything about cleaning our house.
4. Which room in your house do you spend the most time in? My room coz I sleep there. And when I'm home I'm always asleep. Or the living room coz the TV is in there. I mostly watch TV or sleep when I'm at home.
5. Have you read any good books lately? Nope and I feel bad about it. I think the last book I read is Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
6. What is your biggest source of news? (Newspaper? Television? Radio? Other?) Although I watch television a lot, I skip the news hehehe. I'm just so tired of hearing about the politicians in this country. But the answer to the question would be television coz I don't read the newspaper, although I read TIME magazine; and I don't listen to the radio - not the AM stations. I only listen to Chico and Del's morning show.

Bagyong Henry
Ahahahaha. Obvious bang may kinaasaran akong Henry? PAGASA weatherforecast for today: At 2:00 a.m. today, Tropical Depression "HENRY" was estimated based on radar, satellite and surface data at 180 kms east of Baler, Aurora (15.5°N 123.3°E) with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph. It is forecast to move west northwest at 15 kph. Northern, Central and Eastern Luzon will have rains and gusty winds with moderate to rough seas. The rest of Luzon and whole of Visayas will experience cloudy skies with rainshowers and thunderstorms. Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the east and northeast will prevail over Central and Northern Luzon and the coastal waters of these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough. Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate blowing from the northwest and southwest with slight to moderate seas.
I wish I'd get sick so that I'll have a valid reason to stay at home and curl up in my bed. Inggit ako sa mga nagkakasakit. I blame the Vitamin C and multivitamins I'm taking everyday. Ok joke lang. I know health is wealth babablablabla. But I want to stay at home in bed on a weekday once in a while. Parang last week, I was praying so hard that I want to get sick...the next day Joema ended up getting sick.

UAAP update: UP has lost again...yesterday to defending champs FEU! Galing pa naman ni Migs De Asis. Sayang! That's their third straight loss. I hope they win on their next game. Ewan ko ba why I keep track of the UAAP basketball games nowadays. Back in college, I was never a follower of the UAAP games. I never knew if we lost or won a game. It must be the influence of my former officemates who are die-hard college basketball fans. But later on I found myself watching out for UP games. Last year nanood pa kami sa ULTRA nung game ng UP vs DLSU. Na sayang dahil after winning 6 straight games in the second round e natalo pa ang Maroons. Kaasar na Mac Cardona yan! Ehehehe. Basta this year I'm praying and hoping na makasama naman kami sa final four. Although as of the moment, medyo nakakalungkot ang standing dahil naungusan pa kami ng NU. But the season ain't over yet, so let's continue to pray. UP fight!!!!

It's bad to stare
When I ride the shuttle going to and from the office my favorite past time is staring at people. You read that right... I do stare. I know it's bad but I just can't help it. I stare at people's faces, hair, shoes, bags, clothes, accessories, jewelries...yes folks, I have that bad habit. And look what I stared at this morning...
The lady's jacket still has its tag harharhar.
Oh yes, I eavesdrop too! ;)

That's Lee Dong Wook at Studio 1 of ABS-CBN last Friday night. It's at times like this na gusto ko maging empleyado ng ABS.
*******************
Although my Saturday was filled with kilig moments...thanks to Julian (kahit na sa TV ko lang sya nakita) the next day was a disappointment...courtesy of the UP Maroons. Huhuhuhu sayang talaga hindi nanalo ang UP yesterday against Adamson. Sayang! Hanuba!

1 New Message
8 things I learned in UP:
1. Suggested readings are MANDATORY.
2. You can know everything, yet still fail an exam.
3. All your classmates are brilliant. Others just aren't studying.
4. Teachers are impressed with no one.
5. Your best efforts could still get a 5.0.
6. Every class is like a thesis defense: it's not enough that you understand, you have to know how to explain it as well.
7. Seatworks natin, finals sa ibang school!
8. Ang yabang natin!!!
Got this text message last night from Joy...every single one is true! *lol*

Asar Talo
Leche! I'm sick of being the youngest here...youngest not only in age but in the length of stay here! I'm sick of being pushed around by the old ones here. Putang ina parang gobyerno!!!

Camiguin/CDO July16-18, 2006
Just arrived from Cagayan De Oro, our jump-off point to Camiguin, this morning. Pictures can be seen here. I'm still too tired to write a comprehensive post about the trip but I've put descriptions in the pictures. Kaso mali yung date sa pictures hahahaha. Basta subtract a day na lang. We arrived at CDO and went to Camiguin on the 16th then was back at CDO the next day. Kaninang umaga naman yung flight namin going back to Manila.

Ka-apelyido pa ng isa jan
You must have seen this video already...ngayon ko lang napanood e hahahaha... at may follow-up video pa. Wala akong masabi.

Puerto Princesa....not
I want to blog about the continuation of my Puerto Princesa trip but I still have to get hold of our pictures from Grace's digicam. I brought my own but we used hers on our second day...we went to Underground River. I'm too lazy to tell my story without the pictures...

People watching at Mall of Asia
Finally, I was able to go to SM Mall of Asia. It was humongous. But I still can't decide if it's really bigger than Megamall coz it only has 2 floors but it has 4 adjacent buildings. It was fun going around the mall with Joema as my tourguide. Enjoy din sya dahil for the first time he's the one taking me around. Being the probinsyano that he is, I'm usually the one more familiar with the malls that we go to hehehe. Patay ako dito, sana di nya mabasa hahahaha. I think the highlight of the mall is the baywalk at the back. Since the mall is standing on a reclamation area, they made use of Manila Bay as value-added attraction. Aside from the baywalk, you can also take a look at the bay at the viewing deck. Sayang lang it was raining last Saturday we weren't able to see the sunset from the mall. Syempre the bitch that I am I was telling Joema na sana biglang lumaki yung alon at agusin yung mga taong nasa baba bwahahaha. Well, it must be the rain, I blame the rain! Sya nga e sabi nya yung magsyosyota daw na andon nagpapaka-romantic pano daw kung yung isa maitulak yung syota nya papunta sa tubig mala-tagalog movie slapstick hahaha. Tambay lang kami sa Seattle's and continued watching people:
- there was this group of friends na nagpipicture taking...as in picture taking ha na parang mga turista. One of the girls has a little girl with her. Isip namin siguro anak nya pero we can't decide who's the mom kasi kung kani-kanino sumasama yung little girl.
- there was also this two gay guys na we were arguing naman if they were on a date or they were just friends. Sabi ni Joema magsyota daw. Naisip ko nga if they were only friends, nangyayari din kaya sa kanila yung nagkakadevelop-an tas nagkakagustuhan parang sa mga boy-girl friendships? Siguro daw oo.
Okay by this time we were thinking na malamang pinag-uusapan din nila kami like the Piattos commercial (tama ba?). As if! Kaya napapagkamalang may asawa si Joema e. Yun na!

Puerto Princesa June30-July2, 2006
Grace and I have this tradition of going out of town, just the two of us, every year. It started in 2002 when we went to Banaue/Sagada, then Marinduque the following year. I don't why we didn't go anywhere in 2004 but we went to Boracay last year. For 2006, we went to Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Our deal is to go on a Coron trip when he has found Mr. Right, and we'll bring him and Joema along with us. hehe
The night before our trip, I slept at Grace's condo because we had an early flight the next day. For me that was the start of my vacation. But I had a minor accident the next morning...
I was looking for my contact lenses in my tote bag when I felt a sting on my thumb. I didn't bother with it because I didn't see what it was. Ganon ako kabulag pag walang salamin! My thumb was already bleeding and I didn't even see what caused it. It was my shaver pala and it didn't have it's cap on kaya na-slice tuloy yung balat ko. My thumb didn't stop bleeding I was frightened I'll lose enough blood to die. Waaaahhh!!! I just wrapped my thumb in tissue paper until I asked for band-aid from the stewardess on the plane.
We were picked up at the airport by a staff from Badjao Inn where we stayed. The inn was a little old but for its price it was okay. It's near the aiport, the good restaurants and Puerto Princesa capitol. After eating lunch at the inn's restaurant we headed for the ATM machine first because Grace wasn't able to bring cash. Tricycle is the main transportation in Puerto Princesa. The fare is only P6 for near places but for places were the tricycle rarely goes you have to rent the tricycle for the two-way trip. This we found out after we almost didn't go home from Honda Bay hahaha. But before that we had a hard time going to Honday Bay. Kasi naman I didn't remember the name of the wharf we were supposed to go to. Can you imagine how confused the manong tricycle is? haha He said he'd bring us to the fishing wharf but that didn't sound right so we went down from his tricycle and hailed another one. This time I told manong that we wanted to go island hopping at Honda Bay but since I can't remember the name of the wharf I told him to go to Badjao inn instead. I wanted to go back to our inn because I need to get my cellphone, which I left with its baterry charging in our room, and text somebody who knew. Good thing manong suggested to take us to Sta. Lourdes wharf where there are boats that will take us around Honday Bay. Ayun natandaan ko nang Sta. Lourdes wharf nga dapat kami pumunta so nagpaderetso na kami don. Siningil nya kami ng P90 papunta but he didn't bother to tell us that it was hard to get a tricycle there going back to the city proper. Anyway, when we got to the wharf there's a tourist information center there. They were really organized. The tourists get to pick which islands they want to go to and then they, we, are assigned a boat with a registered boatman. Pay the boat, which costs P1000 if you want to go to 3 islands, and the terminal fee of P3 per pax and off you go. Our choice of the 3 islands are Pandan, Snake and Starfish island. They told us that we need to pay entrance fees for the three islands. Logic tells me that if the island has an entrance fee that means the island is ... hence the beach is beautiful. You can also opt to go to just one island which, if I remember correctly, costs around P800 or go to Dos Palmas for P1000 or Dos Palmas plus three other islands for P1500. The catch is Dos Palmas has an entrance fee of P500 unlike in Pandan and Starfish were you only pay P25 and P40, respectively. Other choices for island hopping are bat island, luli island, We rented snorkeling masks and bought bread because they said Snake island is ideal for snorkeling and fish feeding.
First stop: Pandan island. We had the beach to ourselves we had the time of our lives taking pictures
As usual nakapikit ang lola nyo
My pinakamalanding pose
The glorious waters of Honda Bay
Second stop: Snake Island. The island is shaped like a snake thus the name, not because it's inhabited by snakes. Takot ko lang magpunta don. The island is a sight to behold...
Part of the island leading to the "tail"
We had fun jumping in front of the camera
Ngiting-ngiti ang mga hitad
Schools of fish waiting to be fed. Grabe there are hundreds of them, takot nga ko nung una dahil feeling ko pati ako kakainin na nila. Sayang we didn't bring an underwater camera. They were selling it there pala for P800 but it was too late when we found out.
That's a real starfish I'm holding. Tigas pala ng starfish parang bato and the only thing that will make you think it's alive is the small tentacles it has at the back. Star ako noh! hehe

The Doctor is In
I was able to watch the pilot episode of Grey's Anatomy at Studio 23. I know a lot of people has already watched it, a couple of my friends have watched the whole season 1 and are already looking for copies of season 2. So I was really interested on seeing it last night. After the movie I wanted to be doctor. I was just sorry I let go of my dream of becoming a doctor. You see when I was small my ambition was to be a doctor. You know how adults ask children what they want to be when you grow up...my answer was to be a doctor. Or when I write in my classmate's slumbook under 'what's your ambition?'...my answer was to be a doctor. But between grade school and high school I just decided I didn't want to be a doctor. You wanna know why? Because I didn't want to marry at an old age hahaha! I think somehow I found out that it takes 10 years of studying to become a doctor so after doing some math here and there I thought I'd be too old when I become a doctor and then get married. My marrying age back then was 25...so that would mean I'm past my deadline ahehehe. Anyway, when I got into high school and it was time to get those college applications ready I wasn't decided on what course I should take for college. My mom told me to get a non-quota course so that I'll have a better chance of getting into UP. So I chose Journalism and Mathematics. I was writing for our high school paper back then thus my first choice and I was a bit good in math hence my second choice. I was also interested in taking Psychology but that was a quota course in UP so instead I chose that in my application at ADMU. Sobrang di related yung mga courses noh? I took the exams and prayed that whatever course I'll pass in then I'll take it as my future. I was waitlisted for Journalism in UP and they asked to pick another non-quota course so that leaves me with Math. I didn't want to take the risk and wait for a slot in Journ. I was also accepted at ADMU. My plans back then was if I finish Psych and still want to be a doctor then that would be a good pre-med course for me. Both UP and ADMU are good schools but since it's cheaper to study in UP than in ADMU, I went to study at UP. And I know I've made the right choice. I won't list down the things I love about my alma mater coz that calls for a separate post hehe.
After college I found myself going into the actuarial field. So there's go my concern about studying for too long because it takes a lot of studying to be an actuary. And I also gave up on that. Now, I'm just an ordinary employee...with no bright future ahead of me. Haaayy...
Basta after watching Grey's last night, I felt empty. Instead of a half full glass of water, I was a half empty glass. I dream of doing great things but I'm not sure if I'm capable of that. I always think that I'm an achiever, that I can do anything I put myself into. But once things get bigger I find myself backing down a bit. I think I'm afraid of the responsibility that comes with great achievements. I'm afraid that I won't be able to handle the responsibilities that comes with success.

Finally, something that made me smile today... a text message: Hatid kita memya. Yehey!
Compaq
Just wanted to blog but I don't have any particular topic in mind.... I have lots of work to do but I'm dilly-dallying right now. I have a deadline this afternoon that I have started working on but I can't figure out how I'm gonna present it to my boss. Soft copy via email or hard copy and send it to her room. Hmmm....
I wanna go home and sleep again. Good thing it's already Thursday. But I think I have to go here Saturday coz we have to pack our things and transfer to another room. I don't wanna do that. Can't the janitors fix our things instead? Stupid confidential files that we have to transfer ourselves!
*Can't think of a title for this post so I used the first word I saw here at my workstation hehe

Mano-A-Mano
Rewind to Friday night: my father sent me a text message asking me if I wanted to watch Manny Paquiao's fight yesterday at the Araneta Coliseum, he has Upper Box tickets. OMG! Of course I want to watch!!! He got tickets from the office and he's giving it away since he's nervous how the fight will go hahaha. Anyway, since I was at Puerto Princesa this weekend(more on that later) and will be back in Manila only by lunch time Sunday, 02 July, the day of Pacman's fight, I declined his offer. Pero potah sayang ang tickets na yon!!!! My brother had work and Joema, well I don't understand Joema's reason for not watching it live but he said he'll just watch it on television. My dad just gave the tickets to his staff at the office. Imagine that 4 tickets for free...4 tickets worth more than P2000 each! Sayang talaga!
Yesterday while we were at Puero Princesa airport waiting for our flight, Gerry Penalosa's game was being shown at the television at the waiting area. That was already past 10am. Pacquiao's game will have a delayed telecast, I thought, since his scheduled fight is 11am. True enough when we got to Manila, the fight was over and Manny has won!!! But I was still able to watch because of the delayed telecast.
I am so proud of Manny Paquiao. Never mind his English during his interviews nadadaan naman nya sa slang e hahahaha. I feel the love he has for our country every time he has a fight. It doesn't matter if he loses or wins because he always dedicates his fights to the Filipino people. That's the reason he's called People's Champ, right? I am inspired with the love he has to give to us, to his countrymen. I am inspired with how patriotic he is and how proud he is to represent the Philippines. How I wish I have the same love for our country. Anyways,
CONGRATULATIONS PACMAN!!!
